IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY

My path to medicine began as a physical therapist and personal trainer. My first job as a therapist was at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore; I practiced for 7 years while also developing a business as a fitness coach. During this time, I was able to work alongside many great surgeons who referred their patients to me. It was with this exposure that I realized my desire to provide the full spectrum of patient care, from prevention to treatment to recovery.

I received a combined MD/MBA degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, graduating with honors. I then completed my Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston, where I was appointed Chief Resident and Editor-in-Chief of the Orthopaedic Journal of Harvard Medical School.
